About us

Weitblick GmbH – About us

Sustainable. Independent. Interdisciplinary.

Weitblick GmbH is a non-profit, politically and financially independent organisation based in Vorarlberg and Vienna. We develop projects at the interface of (democracy) education, psychosocial health, and sustainability. Our mission is to actively and effectively shape societal change for a positive future.

What we stand for:

We are committed to an ecological, economically and socially just future. At the center of our work is the human being — a learning, responsible, and creative individual. Our actions are guided by the existential-analytical view of humanity according to Viktor E. Frankl. Societal challenges are always challenges for individuals first. Societal change begins with personal development and attitude.

Our approach combines practical relevance, scientific grounding, and creative methodology. We work in an interdisciplinary, participatory, and structurally sustainable manner.

What we do:

  • We develop projects and programs that strengthen knowledge, resilience, and responsible action for a future-ready society.

  • We build collaborations nationally and internationally – with educational institutions, NGOs, and companies.

  • We create learning spaces and synergiesby bringing together interdisciplinary knowledge and diverse networks with the goal of unfolding impact beyond individual programs.

Weitblick sees itself as a platform for future skills and societal responsibility. We invite foundations, institutions, and individuals to participate, contribute ideas, and work together toward a better world.

Making a Difference Together

Strong networks for a sustainable future.

Together with the following educational partners, NGOs, and companies, we implement our projects and programs:

OUR FOCUS

Life Skills

In our work, we connect the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) as well as the promotion of life skills – thereby strengthening the inner capacities needed for collective change.

At the center are the five areas of life skills development,
which were defined by the World Health Organization (WHO):

1) Decision-making & problem-solving skills
2) Creative & critical thinking
3) Communication & relationship skills
4) Empathy & self-awareness
5) Stress & emotional regulation

To teach life skills, we use a playful approach in our projects. Play is the most natural form of learning. We create spaces in which children and young adults:

  • be allowed to experiment and make mistakes.
  • discover their own resources.
  • work together towards goals.
